Device Drivers for Windows XP 32 Bit & 2000

Device Drivers for Windows XP 32 Bit & 2000

VIDAR supports Windows XP® 32 bit and Windows 2000® via STI1via driver software.  Support for Adaptac ASPI2 device drivers on Windows 2000 has been discontinued.

After installing the Adaptec 293 card in your PC, select and install the appropriate device drivers for your system to ensure proper communication between the digitizer and PC.  VIDAR has introduced a driver CD that can be used to install UB or SCSI drivers on Windows 2000 and XP operating Systems.  Note that only digitizers with serial numbers 310000 and higher have USB interface capability.  VIDAR drivers support USB 2.0 (USB 1.1 is not supported).

VIDAR supports the following Windows operating systems:

  • Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3
  • Windows 2000 Service Pack 4

Instructions for installation are different for different operating systems, depending on whether you use a USB or SCSI interface.  Complete instructions for all supported and legacy systems are available at the Setup Guide links in the chart below.  The table below also outlines the CDs needed for each operating system.
